Your skills and experience will be required to manage all aspects of the projects, ensuring a successful delivery to a high standard and within the allocated time constraints and budget.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Manage and oversee the delivery to ensure projects come in on timeline and budget in accordance with company requirements and contractual agreements.
• Provide leadership and guidance to the team tasked with the on-site delivery.
• Manage and anticipate project changes, adjusting plans and activities accordingly.
• Oversee and monitor key milestones for project through regular project reviews and analysis of potential risks to ensure delivery of program objectives.
• Ensure established quality assurance procedures are adhered to.
• Enforce best practice and adhere to company policies, health and safety on site.
• Provide regular internal and external reports to both customers and the management.
• Manage the turnover, margin and cash flow of your projects.
• Report financial results and QA requirements to management as required
• Maintain and grow long-term relationships with the client and capitalize on opportunities that fit the strategic plan for the company
• Effectively communicate relevant program information to management
• Manage performance, compliance and expectations of resources and ensure knowledge transfer within the team
• Other ad hoc tasks assigned by the company.
• Over 5 years’ experience in construction and at least 2 years in a similar role in New Zealand.
• Previous experience managing a construction team and the ability to lead and motivate a team to deliver quality results related to time, cost and quality.
• Sound knowledge of the building design process and ability to prepare a detailed construction program with the knowledge of how the project should be sequenced.
• Strong reporting including cost control and paperwork to ensure that the project is operating efficiently.
• Strong problem solving skills, logical thinking and trouble shooter.
• Good communication skills and the ability to communicate at all levels including clients, design. consultants, site managers and sub-contractors.
• Computer skills including intermediate to advanced MS Outlook, Word, Project and Excel and construction management software including MS Project, Builder Trend etc.
• Professional, responsible and self-motivated.
• Have an eye for detail and the ability to work under pressure.
• Good English and Chinese oral and written skills.
• Holding NZ full, clean driver’s license.
• Individual identity valid for NZ work permit.
